Have you tried a Persimmon (Fuyu)? This lovely sweet fruit, grown in northern Queensland is in season now. It is rich in vitamin C and potassium, can be eaten, skin and all, crunchy or ripe. If you're quick, Des has some dried fruit too. You can find them at the Sunday markets - Willows Rotary Markets (site E14) and Cotters Market (outside Cowboys) at $6 kg.
