In Townsville and regions there are over 470 children living in care. Thanks to the generous donation made by the Rotary Club of Townsville Saints two of the cherubs in our local program will receive their very own Pyjama Angel. Volunteers called Pyjama Angels are matched with a child in care, and spend an hour a week focusing on fun, learning based activities. Pyjama Angels read books aloud, play educational games and help children with their homework. The first Pyjama Angel attended training on the 16th April. They will then be placed and supported to work with a child. Thanks to the Townsville Saints two vulnerable children will be given the opportunity to find their wings and reach their life potential despite a fragile start.
